Lecture performance, Museo Sívori, Buenos Aires, 2023.

Lecture performance conceived for Una conjuración de mundos [A Conjuration of Worlds] curated by Johanna Caplliure. I read my short story ‘Trans- espíritu, tecnocuerpos y la familia del Tukã ‘ [On trans- spirit, technobodies and the family of Tukã] published in “Making Kin” by Cthulhu Books, the publishing platform of the Institute of Postnatural Studies in 2023.

The text examines relations of care through biomedical intervention, framing prosthetics as sites of mediation that oscillate between repair and control. Through Grecia’s story, the project explores the tensions between technological progress and ecological responsibility, while considering how media can transform an individual animal into a public symbol and, in turn, influence interspecies politics. In Costa Rica, the visibility surrounding Grecia’s case contributed to a broader movement against animal cruelty and became part of the public context surrounding the reform of the country’s animal welfare legislation, culminating in Law No. 9458 in 2017.
