P004 → May the Illusion Be Nourished by the Whisper of the Wind, Not by the Sedative Modern Spell

This sculptural object emerges from the hybridization of a whistle—an instrument of play and communication—and a dental splint—a contemporary device of bodily correction. The convergence of these two elements, distant in both function and temporality, gives rise to an ambiguous entity: a device that belongs neither fully to the body nor to the environment, yet inhabits both.

In this convergence, a gesture unfolds—one in which technological matter is no longer alien or servile, but becomes an accomplice in the production of new forms of affect and perception. The whistle evokes the possibility of summoning the animal, the other, that which lies beyond human language. The splint, molded from a specific dental arch, bears the imprint of an individualized, medicalized, domesticated body.

This speculative graft proposes an entanglement of species, technologies, and temporalities. It is a porous threshold from which to envision new alliances: between the playful and the orthopedic, the human and the non-human, the wild gesture and the clinical intervention. An invitation to imagine forms of communication that transcend words, and intercorporeal relations in which technique does not dominate, but listens and extends.
